It is the authentic calçot sauce recipe. Handmade with 100% fresh, organic, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
We cook the tomatoes and garlic. We peel them. Add the almonds, vinegar, salt, red and black pepper and grind everything together. Add the extra virgin olive oil so that it is perfectly bound.
No xanthan gum, no sunflower oil, no tomato puree, no gluten and no other additives.
For 3/4 people.
Put the sauce in a bowl for each person. Strip the calçot of the first toasted layer, pinching its end, and stretch the inside of the calçot with the other hand. It will come out clean and you can soak it in the sauce.
You can accompany Casa Amella Calçots Sauce with any other dish: salad dressings, salads, baked potatoes, vegetable protein, etc. There are also those who use it for dipping!
